We want to get more people in London Cycling. We believe the city will be a happier, healthier, more sustainable place if more journeys are made by bike. This will help to solve some of the biggest problems facing London today: - Congestion on a road network that cannot be expanded. - Air pollution that contributes the premature deaths of more than 9,500 Londoners a year. - Some of the highest child obesity rates in Europe. - Too many cyclists and pedestrians killed by dangerous lorries.

An LCC fighting fund will help ensure London's Mayor keeps his Sign for Cycling promises: - Safe space for cycling on main roads and at junctions - A cycle friendly town centre in every borough - An end lorry danger with smarter, safer lorries It will support LCC to persuade elected representatives to protect cycling budgets and provide for cycling. And enable us to work with businesses, councils, community groups and public authorities to ensure high quality provision for cycling.
