One of the greatest challenges facing the borough of Hackney is poverty and disadvantage caused by uneducated adults unable to secure jobs & a decent income. We aim to break this poverty by providing disadvantaged YP at risk of NEET, with training towards employment. In addition children in Hackney often receive little/no support from their parents towards school work, due to large families and poorly educated parents. This puts a strain on a child's education & makes them less able to achieve.
This project will enable YP to gain training and certificates in special education, volunteer training, childcare, teaching methods & safeguarding; furthering employment possibilities, reducing poverty and boosting confidence whilst providing vital skills to deal with children. It will also further the education of the beneficiaries who will receive support with their studies. There will be lasting sustainability in jobs, accreditation & volunteering opportunities created by this project.
