We are an established support service that meets the needs of the most vulnerable in the Weymouth and Portland area. Outside of the Council we are one of the few organisations that actually funds people into accommodation. We have close relationships with a number of local landlords.

Situation
One of the biggest barriers that affect our client group is affordable, sustainable accommodation. due to the Lantern being established for over 30 years we have built up a number of close working relationships with local landlords who are sympathetic to our client group. The Lantern itself has an established working partnership with all local statutory and non-statutory agencies. We are looking to provide long term, sustainable accommodation.
Solution
We are looking to raise enough funds to actually fund people into accommodation. We already have an established support service and project and already have links with a number of local landlords who are sympathetic to our client group. The only remaining barrier is the funds needed to pay the landlords for the accommodation.
