Today, across the Middle East, millions of people have been forced to flee their homes by conflict and violence in Syria and Iraq – creating the worst refugee crisis since WW2. Many of these people have serious and urgent medical needs. Although they may be able to see a doctor, there are widespread shortages of medicines in the camps, clinics, and places they have fled to. Doctors are therefore often powerless to treat their injuries and illnesses, leading to needless suffering and death.

We will coordinate the delivery of high quantities of essential donated medicines to the health facilities in the region – especially Northern Iraq. As the medical aid we source is donated rather than purchased we can leverage excellent value for money – for each £1 we raise on average we will be able to provide lifesaving and enhancing treatments for 2 people. We will liaise regularly with local partners to meet specific needs and already provide an essential health pack of core medicines
