We are looking to raise £1 million to rebuild our animal rescue centre on Clough road, Hull. Although state of the art when it was first built, many of the facilities are no longer up to current RSPCA welfare standards and if they are not rebuilt we face closure.

Situation

The branch is in desperate need of an upgraded cattery, specialist ferret unit and a new dog kennel block. Currently our ferrets are being housed in a disused cattery, our current cattery is 10 years old and the dog kennels do not have suitable drainage which can cause them to flood- making them unusable in the winter months. If we do not upgrade our facilities we face closure.

Solution

The centre helps to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home 100s of the most vulnerable local dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets each year. The staff are dedicated to helping neglected, abused and abandoned animals and these renovations will make the centre the perfect place from where we can expand upon this work.
