We see this project as a natural extension enabling us to help even more people by providing a more consolidated service - being able to encourage participation in activities here in the Davidson Building without having to refer clients to other organisations - ultimately creating a more cohesive social care service for the growing number of people dealing with Dementia in Gateshead.

A dementia café at Citizens Advice Gateshead would help provide rest and social interaction to those suffering from dementia sufferers, helping to reduce isolation and promote the health-wellbeing of the elderly. In turn, this new service would help add to the services already provided by us and other Dementia services in Gateshead ultimately reliving some of the strain of our health and social care services.
