It ran from 10:00 AM, 5 December 2011 to 4:00 PM, 22 December 2011
Registered Charity in England and Wales (1120268)
All our participants are teenagers from low income families without any work experience. They do not have the means to join work courses which will enable them to gain the vital skills required, to join the workforce in the industry which interests them. Hackney is one of the poorest Boroughs in London and it is vital that we supply today's generation of young adults with the tools and resources they require in order to be able to find a job which they enjoy.
Teen Action will be running a cookery course to reach out to these disadvantaged young adults. The course will give them vital knowledge and skills to join the workforce, as chefs, catering assistants and waitresses. In addition our course will boost their confidence in finding a job which will empower them to perform far better at job interviews. Priority will be given to young people with no means to attend such courses due to lack of funds.
