Ccampaign_18804_App_9602

Jacksons Lane throws open its doors on Christmas Day to provide lunch with all the trimmings, gifts, and a full day of entertainment to over 150 elderly and disabled people who would otherwise be spending the day alone. We work to ensure the most vulnerable in our community have a special Christmas.

Situation

In North London there are large numbers of older and disabled people who do not have family or friends around them at Christmas. They are, through infirmity or disability, unable to travel unaided and have the prospect of spending Christmas all alone, adding to the feelings of depression and isolation.

Solution

We will provide transport for all those unable to travel, and a team of volunteers will cook Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, gifts, and a full day of entertainment (artists and entertainers giving their time for free) to make sure at Christmas no one has to be alone.
