    Situation

Families with disabled children are often unaware of the tools and coping strategies they could use, and the support and information that is available to help them with the issues they face, such as specialist local support groups as well as national organisations. They struggle to find time and resources to explore subjects it is really useful for them to learn about, such as money management, behaviour, stress and sleeping.

    Solution

Our events and workshops help equip parents with the tools to manage and cope with the challenges of raising a disabled child. We do this through a fun, supportive and relaxing day, where parents can meet others, learn useful information, share their ideas and worries and learn through speakers and group work. Other events help parents learn a new skill such as cookery and bond with their child, or go on a day trip with other families which they rarely get the chance to do.
