Due to demographic changes, Schools across our city's are merging thus creating lots of vacant School buildings. Team Oasis is planning to acquire such a vacant School and transforming it into a multi use facility serving the Liverpool 8 area with after school, parent & toddler and youth programmes.

    Situation

Our community has a dire lack of inclusive community facilities that encourage and support play, recreation, after school clubs, youth groups, pensioners, sole parents, parent & toddler groups. Ours is a community with a whole host of soxcial and economic distress. However this most diverse of communities can achieve immense progression towards cohesion if we had the sort of facility that we are proposing.

    Solution

Our international activity centre will celebrate diversity. The centre will nurture respect for each other, learning about each others cultures, listen to our dreams and aspirations for our children and our community. Flags of all nations will fly proudly alongside the Union flag and the flags of the four home nations and ireland. Children will play together. Parents will be encouraged and supported to engage together through parent and toddler and the wisdom of our senior citizens valued.
