Create a diagramatic map of the River Thames as it is today but modeled on the outline of Stamfords Oarsman's Map of the River published in the 19th century. Illustrated in a contemporary mode as was the Stamford was. the project will include sewage works outflows and public water abstraction sites.

The purpose of the project is to illustrate the water makeup of a river, so as to allow the understandin to be aided graphically. It will involve people from communities along the Thames and tap into many different ethnic and educational areas; such as chemistry, biology, art, music and literature.


The published map and the work that will have been collected in the development of the scheme will be put online and exhibited at various points along the river.
