Local volunteers (including two Cambridgeshire police officers) are cycling coast to coast in June 2013 to support our charity and its work with young people. Activities help young people improve their self-esteem, make good decisions and increase their chances of employment or further training.

Situation
A severe lack of facilities and support for young people living in rural and remote places across Cambridgeshire. As a result young people are underachieving, causing nuisance behaviour and taking part in risk taking behaviour.
Solution
The charity provides a venue (either building or converted double-decker youth bus) for young people to socialise and at the same time give opportunities to take part in positive activities and discuss issues with trained and experienced youth workers. The activities help young people to build greater self-esteem, to understand the dangers of risk taking behaviour and to seek further education or suitable employment.
