Laos is a very poor Country where many families still live in the countryside as subsistence farmers and fisherman. The population is growing and half of the people are under 21. Basic education has to be paid for any many large families simply cannot afford to educate their children. Towns like Luang Prabang are growing because of tourism. Many families are moving with the hope of education and better prospects for their children. Learning a skill will help them get a job and escape poverty.

The project is focused on helping boys and girls. It will give the basic three educational skills of reading, writing and arithmetic. It will train them to be a bike or motorbike mechanic or as a seamstress. With the help of our team they will find jobs at the completion of a years training or with the provision of micro loans we will help others set up a small business.
