Many men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender (TG) living in Nepal are HIV positive but face problems in accessing proper health care services. Stigma and misconceptions surrounding the MSM and TG community affect the quality of care received at medical institutions; there is lack of confidentiality, mistreatment by medical staff and sometimes even a denial of services. There is also a need for support groups and counselling support to help live with the stigma and prejudice they face.
1) To ensure professional health care providers including doctors treat MSM/TG PLHIV in the far-West development region. 2) To provide regular medical care and support to ensure the life-saving antiretroviral (ARV) treatment is effective amongst MSM/TG living with HIV 3) To provide other logistical, morale and political support for MSM/TG living with HIV so that their access to care and treatment is ensured. 4) To enable support and enpowement groups and provide counselling support.
