There is significant evidence to show that a good music education can bring real benefits to a child’s learning and social development. Yet learning to play an instrument is becoming increasingly unaffordable in the UK. We are tackling this issue by introducing a new generation of young people to the joys of music. In the process we are opening up life changing opportunities for our participants and finding incredible talent in some of our most diverse communities.
We deliver an unparalleled programme of high-quality, sustained instrumental teaching to children from financially disadvantaged and diverse backgrounds from their first year at primary school, providing: measurably excellent musical outcomes, enhanced personal development, high attendance levels and strong parental engagement, teaching inside and outside school hours - reaching all children, and a clear musical pathway towards entry auditions to the junior departments of major conservatoires.
