Age need not be a barrier to independence. Timely and appropriate support can often enable older people to keep their dignity. The Independent Age Keep Able catalogue offers our beneficiaries a variety of useful items and gadgets, free of charge from low-cost tap turners to wheeled walkers.

As people get older their need to rely upon others for support becomes greater. Simple tasks can become problematic due to joint weakness, visual impairment or illness. General health and wellbeing may decline limiting social interaction with others in the community Keep Able is here to help. Whether it is opening cans, jars or bottles to enable them to prepare meals, getting dressed and feeling confident about leaving the house or being able to entertain their friends.
Solution
Keep Able is a project funding low cost mobility equipment and gadgets free to those older people in need of help around the house. Each £1,000 donation funds 36 items of vital equipment. A donation to this project buys independence and a better life for those who are limited by their disabilities and who do not have the financial means to support themselves in this way.
