Situation
The CUP is commissioned by us to continuously monitor and analyse new cancer prevention research. It ensures that we continue to give people that best possible information available to reduce their cancer risk. There will be much more work to do with the number of published research papers due to increase by 75% in the next 2 years. As with a jigsaw puzzle, it is only by putting all the individual research studies together that the overall picture will emerge.
Solution
Due to the accelerating amount of new research studies being published we need to invest £44,000 in an additional scientist to help analyse and uncover more cancer prevention results.
