Supporting deprived families in Coventry by giving their children presents at Christmas.

Situation
Coventry City Mission works with many deprived families across the city. Over the years in became apparent that many of these families are put under even more pressure over the Christmas period and many fall into huge debt in order to make Christmas happen. In order to release some of this pressure we try to help by offering gifts to the children of these families. Many of whom may not receive anything for Christmas. The gifts and funds required are raised from individuals, groups, churches and organisations. The toys are then sorted, wrapped and distributed at our Christmas parties. In 2009 we were able to support over 500 children across the city and hope to be able to help even more in 2010.
