An Emergency Fostering Unit for abandoned and at risk cats, rabbits, small furries and exotics is urgently needed in inner London. There is no RSPCA Animal Centre in London. Two hospitals cater for sick and injured owned and stray animals but there is nowhere for abandonments and urgent rehomes to go. This project is vital.

If they cannot find an urgent space, many abandoned and 'at risk' animals will end up living on the streets and may become sick, injured or starving. This project aims to remove that risk. The recession has led to a very steep increase in abandonments. We must do more to help. We aim to set up the Emergency Fostering Unit in a light industrial warehouse in Central London by 1 July 2010 to help with the summer rush on our resources. We need £150,600 to start up. We have £125,600 clear funds already. Just another £25,000 will allow us to go full steam ahead and create spaces for up to 50 desperate cats, 50 rabbits and many more other homeless pets of all shapes and sizes. Please help.
