Each year South Yorkshire Community Foundation launches the Surviving Winter campaign an appeal for donations to help those most vulnerable in the winter months.
It ran from 12:00 AM, 1 November 2014 to 12:00 AM, 1 March 2015
Registered Charity in England and Wales (1140947)
Fuel poverty is a real issue that affects many older people - please think about giving your winter fuel allowance to Surviving Winter 2013 to ensure those who are less fortunate can stay warm and healthy this winter. Over three million people aged 65 and over in the UK are concerned about staying warm in their own home this winter with nearly six million also citing worries about the increasing cost of energy bills. (Age UK)
Donations are given to those in need to help pay for excess fuel bills, boiler repairs and more to help keep people warm in their homes. Surviving Winter also helps fund food banks to help those unable to feed themselves and their families as they struggle to meet the extra costs the winter brings.
