    Situation

The building was chosen because of its prime location in North Shields, allowing us to reach more people in need in the local area. It has been a fantastic base for our services over the years, but unfortunately it has been significantly damaged over the years. We’ve taken the decision to invest in an extensive refurbishment of the building to ensure it can remain our home for the next 75 years.

    Solution

Around 200 windows in the building will be replaced with double glazed panes, to improve insulation and reduce the charity’s energy bills, which currently absorb a significant proportion of any income generated. The premises will also receive a new roof covering to repair damage caused by 75 years of wear and tear and provide new health and wellbeing, children & young peoples and community facilities along with new supported accommodation for those in need.
