EFFICIENT VEHICLE ROUTING: In order to reduce the impact we have on the environment, improve road safety for all road users, and reduce our costs so that we may keep the price of a fare to a bare minimum, we want to find the most efficient routing of our vehicles as is possible. The installation of navigation systems in all our vehicles will help us to achieve these aims and much more.
Solution
Vehicle navigation systems provide a reliable, unbroken stream of navigation information which directly benefits the drivers and passengers. Route planning and live traffic updates improve driver productivity and make the buses even more safe and comfortable for passengers. We hope to increase call centre efficiency through live and historic monitoring of vehicle locations, routes, and stops. A reduction in road time, fuel bills, and insurance premiums will all help to keep fare prices low.
