    Situation

The CAUSE ‘Relative Reach’ programme includes Carer Advocates (carer support workers), a helpline, support groups, educational and respite activities, and representation of carers’ views. During the 2006/7 financial year, there were almost 4,500 ‘carer contacts’ (contact with a local carer) through ‘Relative Reach’, and demand for the project continues to grow. Commenting on the project, one local carer said that ‘Relative Reach’ "has been a lifeline and a turning point for me.” Another added, “To me, being a member of CAUSE means never being alone and always having someone there to listen, help and support me.” We need your support to help carers such as those above, transforming lives.
