Ethiopia is strongly supportive of the Millennium Development Goals and wants to ensure that all children, boys and girls alike, will be able to complete a full course of primary schooling by 2015. Despite an energetic building programme, there are not enough resources to build the schools needed, particularly in the growing urban environments. Our focus is to provide the best possible education for those least able to afford it.
To give opportunities for the future where none exist today. The Nicolas School gives priority to educating children of parents with disabilities resulting from the effects of war and illness, who as a result often live in conditions of poverty.By building the School these disadvantaged children can be educated at the highest standard from kindergarten to grade 12 giving them the best possible chance of good careers and the ability to support themselves and their families in the future.
