Reclaiming Lives will provide counselling, therapy and practical support to young people who have no one else to turn to and are least likely to be reached. They are victims of neglect, abuse and have emerging mental health that can trigger negative behaviour and decline in academic performance.

Situation
There is no other local service to deal with their complex issues, many are the children society prefers not to think about. We support and empower disadvantaged young people across Essex to build good relationships and fulfil their potential. The children supported by us have suffered trauma, neglect or abuse and may feel disconnected from society. Their behaviour can challenge teachers and support staff, resulting in them often being negatively labelled, neglected and at risk of exclusion.
Solution
KI aims to reconnect disadvantaged CYP with themselves, family and society through delivery of bespoke group and dyad therapy, coaching and mentoring. We aim to increase feelings of self-worth and prevent individuals from joining gangs or becoming involved in youth crime and enable them to positively contribute to their communities. They will improve school attendance and life skills and look to a positive future, feeling safe and secure.
