This families living conditions are outrageous. They live in a remote mountain area on a hill called Killer Hill in a hut (8ft x 7ft). They live and cook in this hut (I cannot call it a house, you will understand when you see the photograph) for cooking they collect wood to cook the little food they have on an open fire. There are no sanitary facilities.

    Situation

We have been working on plans to have a 2 roomed home built for him, his sister, grandfather and mother thus giving them a room for cooking, as using an open fire is the only way to cook for them, having a separate room would help as it would be much healthier and of course their living conditions would be greatly improved. The home would also be nearer the water pipe as at the moment Sanjaya’s mother has to climb 900 metres to fetch the water in a large water vessel. Our project manager in Pokhara is at present negotiating the cost of a very small amount of land, the overall house will be approximately 10ft by 11ft. He is also investigating the costs of materials. We do not have a definitive cost yet but we know that we need to raise approximately £3500 for this project to work. There is a special fund for this at the moment the fund is showing just £240, help us to help them.
