They will also fund a mobile clinic to go out to the tribes people and provide basic health care to those who can’t make the large distances to hospitals. The Health Programme is the only in the north of Turkana, making it a vital part of community life. The services provided will include attendance and referral of medical emergencies, immunisation of under fives, antenatal and postnatal care, health education, home visits, follow-up of patients with chronic illnesses such as TB, treatment and home based care for HIV/AIDS patients, seminars, nutrition and school health programmes and more.
