    Situation

Crossness Engines Trust preserves the site of the Victorian pumping station built when the sewer system for London was built. We have what we believe to be the four biggest rotative beam engines in the world. After many years of volunteer effort we were able to bring one of them, Prince Consort, back into steam. We have been working for some time to restore Victoria to full working condition so that we can steam two engines on our Open Days. We hoping to raise money to pay for the engineering work that our volunteers cannot do themselves.
