The Officer will help to research, produce and promote specialist booklets and factsheets for people with or affected by male cancers. The nurse will also help to develop and manage the information section of the website, working with our newly established editorial board to ensure that information is accurate and appropriate for its audience. This male cancer information service would provide Orchid with a unique opportunity to raise awareness of these diseases, to meet the needs of a specific group of (ex) patients and their families, to work alongside healthcare professionals and agencies delivering services and to extend and strengthen our core work. This person would represent Orchid by attending meetings and steering committees and umbrella groups. * The cost for this post is £50,000 including on-costs.
