Development of communication and mediation training for prisoners to help them understand and improve their communication skills, manage their stress and develop listening skills to help resolve disputes within their peer group.

Situation
The project is to help prisoners who may struggle with communication and have problems expressing themselves or listening to others. The workshops are run over two sessions, in small groups, helping prisoners to look at conflict and confrontation, their body language, and how to handle stress. The sessions help the prisoners to understand the power of communication, improve their self-esteem and give them the skills to approach conflict resolution by non-confrontational means.
