Make use of the building we have tennancy for fully for the next two and a half years of our current Tenancy. We believe that developing underutilised space to allow half the attic to become a theraputic art studio would really benefit those people who use our services and more.

    Situation

We have recently moved to larger premises which include an attic space previously used as a storage room. In consultation with staff, volunteers, clients, and other mental health service providers, interest has been expressed in converting the attic into a therapeutic art studio. This will enable us the space to offer individual art therapy sessions, a therapeutic art group, and for young people under 25, the opportunity to engage in self-motivated learning in the arts and achieve an Arts Award qualification (bronze and silver levels) as part of self esteem building and re-integration programs. We will offer these opportunities both to our self referring clients and also to other mental health services in the region who may wish to refer their clients to us.
