Lowland Search and Rescue exists to assist the Police in vulnerable missing person searches and support the full time emergency services and the County Councils in the event of a major crisis or incident in the county. Lowland Search and Rescue are responsible for saving the lives of everyday members of the public in your county. Despite this they receive no financial reward for the services provided to the Police and other emergency services. As registered charities Lowland SAR team rely entirely on donations from the public and local businesses and receives no government funding. All donations and money raised go directly to the running of the teams.

    Situation

In order for Voluntary Lowland Search Teams to respond effectively to searches in the Eastern counties a new regional headquarters is needed. This headquarters will be responsible for co-ordinating the responses of four county teams, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. In order to achieve this goal a sum of £250,000 is required to purchase a building which will be named after the benefactor.
