One of our current projects is to provide environmental and outdoor themed educational day visits to schools and groups in the local area. We are particularly keen to provide opportunities to special schools and those working with disadvantaged young people.

    Situation

The aim is to make the wonderful facilities at Sayers Croft Field Centre available to those who otherwise may not be able to experience them. We hope to attract up to 50 groups that work with disabled/disadvantaged young people. They will have the opportunities to get out into the beautiful Surrey Hills, try new things such as survival skills and climbing and enjoy the outdoors in a safe and exciting way. We are looking for funding of £5000 in order to be able to offer subsidised visits to the schools and charity groups. This covers the extra staffing needed to cater for their particular needs as well as resources, publicity and planning time. Part of this will go towards specialist equipment for disabled participants.
