Our current kennel block is modest, although we do our very best with limited facilities. It can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The outdoor runs cannot be viewed by the public because of the site layout and the old building is not easy to keep clean, aired and warm. We have huge utility bills trying to heat an aged building, where we do our utmost for the care of the dogs. But we are in dire need of a new, purpose built kennel block.

Situation
We have been making do with an old building for the past 12 years, but the time has come when we realise we must get something better both in terms of animal comforts, practicality and for human ease of maintenance. The kennel block is in an awkward location and is dark & draughty, lights and heating are needed constantly (except in summer when it gets very hot inside). We are looking to have our rescue dogs in new kennels with runs that can be viewed by members of the public by the end of 2010. A purpose built kennel block will cost in the region of £100,000
