Children who have a disabled sibling are often denied opportunities to engage in active play. We provide day trips and residential outings where these children can undertake active sports and active play

    Situation

Many of the children who join our register have low levels of confidence and have difficulty making friends. They may miss out on normal family outings due to the restrictions on the family from the disabled child. Parents are often so involved in caring for the disabled child that they do not have the time and energy to take the siblings to clubs and outings. We use active play and sports opportunities to boost confidence, encourage team work and to improve the well being of the children.
