    Situation

Before we installed our pilot project in Gbongay two out of every five children under the age of five died of water transmitted diseases. Since the project was completed in 2006 no children have died from water transmitted diseases. Eco-san toilets not only manage human waste and the pathogens within, they turn it in to a valuable commodity; compost. As the adults and children no longer become sick on such a regular basis, they are able to work and attend school, therefore contributing to a productive community. Drilling and completion of 2 shallow wells with hand pumps £5,000 Provision and installation of 2 rain water collection tanks £400 complete installation of 7 eco-san toilets £3,850
