During the wet and cold months, it is often impossible to offer our donkeys a chance to get some much needed exercise on the fields around The Donkey Sanctuary. We would like to provide a 'Big Soft Yard' for the 46 donkeys that live in New Barn, here at The Donkey Sanctuary in Devon. This would be an exercise area, with a bark woodchip floor that will be perfect for the donkeys to run about in during the rainy, winter months. We have already obtained planning permission and are aiming to raise £26,000 by summer 2010, to have it ready for the winter next year.
