Give a Future Foundation is currently supporting a fantastic Ethiopian NGO that runs a home for 30 children and two schools for 200 vulnerable children in Addis. We now want to start a school feeding programme and need help for that in this environment of hugely increasing food prices.

Through Give a Future’s initial help the Ethiopian NGO was able to enlarge the home from 20 to 30 children, provide a nurse every week for all the children, provide school uniforms to all pupils of the schools, provide books for their libraries, and improve general basic needs. However, many children attending the Nursery School and Primary School cannot afford even one cooked meal a day. Their education achievements and health could be vastly improved if they got a meal a day but food prices in Addis Ababa have tripled in the past year. This is making it even more difficult for parents to feed their children. The planned feeding programme is forecast to cost £20,000 for the coming year. That is £100 per child per year.
