Those who have no family or are estranged from them and have few or no friends can feel unwanted of forgotten at a time of year when it appears everyone else has someone to celebrate with.

The Archway Foundation ensures that a listening ear and a friendly face are available to those who would otherwise be without human contact. Our social events are sensitively organised with our volunteers to make sure everyone feels welcome, included, allowed to be themselves and encouraged to re-learn social skills. This provides a sense of belonging and will help reduce the pain of loneliness at this potentially difficult time of year.
