The music tradition at Salisbury Cathedral extends back over 1,000 years and it is a fundamental part of our daily life. All choristers attend the Cathedral School and we provide bursaries with an aspiration that all talented musicians have the opportunity to join our choral tradition.

Situation
We feel strongly about ensuring that no young gifted musicians are barred from joining our choirs due to financial circumstances. We hope to continue our long-standing music tradition for many years to come for the benefit of future generations.
Solution
We offer bursaries to all choristers so that children from every background have the opportunity to join our world-class choirs. We host workshops and open days each year, inviting children to find out about and experience life as a chorister.
