To provide a safe play area at the Pill Mill centre for the kids and parents of the area, this will help develop social skills and bring parents together to learn with their children

• A Safe controlled environment for children to play • Give an opportunity for children of different cultures to interact with each other • Promote physical activity • Tackle obesity in the young by promoting physical activity • Promote interaction between parents • Provide parents with advice and guidance on diet and physical activity • Help parents and children understand issues such a bullying, antisocial behaviour • Act as a hook for parents to engage in other activities at the centre such as adult education classes, volunteer opportunities and citizenship And let us not forget, an opportunity for children to play and learn about play in a safe controlled environment. What we are seeking is equipment for soft play the costs for this are in the region of £20,000. We would not be looking for further funds to cover costs of staff, training or maintenance as we will cover the costs of these ourselves with volunteers helping to run sessions and our own funds to cover other expenditure associated with this. £5,000 of the Trust's own funds allocated to this project.
