    Situation

At present we support an orphanage just outside the second city in Burundi, Gitega. There are about 25 children there at the moment, and this is being increased to 100. A house Mum has about 8 children to look after in a home on the site. There is land to grow crops and to build a dairy. This would provide fresh milk alongside fresh produce - a necessity for healthy development in this incredibly poor country. Eventually being able to provide to the local community as well. Aids is pandemic in Burundi, as is malaria, and countless other health issues. At present the children have to be taken elsewhere if they are ill. There is no local clinic, and the local peple have no clinic. This would provide a building and the ability to fund a worker and supplies, in a high malaria area.
