We aim over a period of two years to assist in awareness and personal development for these individuals through educational tuition, mentoring and sports inclusion. We aim to provide basic knowledge in these selected areas and believe that this project will assist young people in gaining self confidence and self esteem.

Tuition: Our understanding from our young people is that the quality of learning they attain in a class of 30 students is very limited. They have expressed the need for one to one tuition which will assist in building awareness in the desired subject including the English language. Due to the lack of available home finance and for many being new comers to this country some crucial learning and desperately needed assistance would help integrate them in to the wider society. Our pilot project run through June – August 2007 was very successful and the feedback from the tutors and participants backed this. Mentoring: We hope to provide each young person on this project with a mentor who will be accessible to them when required. The aim is to assist in self management and time management along with goal setting through action planning and evaluation. Sports inclusion: We aim to bring in the young people who are behind others in sports and do not wish to take part. We see many young people who need private coaching to assist them to develop to a basic level in there sports. We feel by giving them the assistance they need will help in self confidence and build self esteem which will incorporate being healthy. One area that is very much lacking in young people is hand eye co-ordination and we feel with such a superb history in sports we can deliver
