Situation
The cornerstone of the programme is self-management, including pilot self-management courses, complemented by online support for those unable or unwilling to attend. The projects include: • a function-rich website to support a vibrant online community • greatly expanded network of support groups for hands-on local knowledge and support • increased awareness of the true nature of Tourette Syndrome amongst employers, professionals and the public • education of GPs and other health and social care professionals, making diagnosis more straightforward and better provision of statutory services The annual cost of the programme is £70,000. This includes project costs for publications, website, conferences, social networking, local groups and supporting infrastructure.
