LIBRA recently launched the Giving 4 Growth Campaign and aims to raise £100,000 for the Haematology Department at King's College Hospital. The funds are urgently required to purchase two new items of equipment that will be used in clinical trials to test new treatments for blood cancers.

Situation
Blood cancers affect more than 30,000 people in the UK every year. People diagnosed with blood cancer require the best treatments available if they are to survive. Our aim is to provide the Haematology team at King's with the funds they require to develop and trial new treatments.
Solution
By raising £100,000 we can cover the cost of laboratory developments and items of clinical trials equipment. The space is needed by the Haeamtology team so that have a sterile environment in which to create new treatments. The equipment will be used to create and trial new treatments for leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood cancers.
