    Situation

A survey of care in Croydon shows there is a lack of high quality accommodation for older people, and there are only 864 single en suite residential places available to older people in the area. This leaves a shortfall of 980 places, which is projected to grow over the next 2 decades. The number of older people requiring residential and nursing care within a 3 mile catchment area around the development currently stands at 1,844 and is expected to increase to 2,235 in 2020 and 2,902 in 2030.

    Solution

Our response is to build a new Hall Grange care home and new independent living apartments and introduce dementia care provision which MHA has specialised in since 1989. The project will provide new services for over 90 older people.
