    Situation

Phase 1 of YoMAD has seen detached youth using a bus to befriend young people. This work has seen a midweek discussion group being set up. Now we are working with that group to set up a drop-in facility. It needs to feel like someone's home, offer an alternative to drunkenness, and be a place the young people own. We now have a group of 8, 13-17 year olds working with us to shape the project as it goes forward. We are lookihg for suitable rooms, liasing with other groups, looking for funding, and consulting with their peers. We will need to rent, furnish. equip and decorate the rooms to make them functional.
