Situation
Dodnaze Community Centre has been open for three years. It is a converted ground-floor maisonette. We currently employ a project worker to run the centre and look for ideas for new projects. For example, we have run trips for a group of older people over the summer, we have arranged for a group of young people to attend a local project involving go-karting, woodwork and a residential trip and we have organised a summer play scheme for the children on the estate. To cover salary and running costs for a year we need £18,000.
