    Situation

CAB service consists of three centres at Pontefract, South Elmsall and Wakefield, and outreach sessions throughout the Wakefield Metropolitan District. Together they serve a population of some 315,000 people. Advice is given by volunteer advisers trained to a high level in generalist advice. The centres and their outreaches are open to the public for face to face advice. In addition there is a telephone service for confidential advice and appointments (please see our website for opening hours/times). A limited home visiting service is also available. All centres provide a generalist advice service. The service is free to all comers and the advice given is totally confidential. Advice in other languages is available at the Wakefield centre, according to the personnel at the time and this can change with the turnover of staff and volunteers.
