Situation
Our hospice in Canterbury is housed in former school sanitorium. When we first opened in 1982 we provide a inpatient service only. However over the years we have developed our services to better meet the needs of our patients and we now offer Rapid Response Hospice at Home, Day Hospice, Respite Care, Support for Carers, Outpatient Consultations, Complementary Therapies, Social Work, Bereavement Services and Diversional Therapies.
Solution
We will reconfigure, redesign and refurbish to offer more consulting rooms, more private spaces for patients and families, introduce a coffee shop facility and improve access.
